The Ringling museum was hopping Thursday evening, for the first Ringling Underground!
The grounds were full of people, along with live music and, of course, awe-inspiring art!
Ringling Underground is aimed toward college students and young professionals, but the monthly event is open to all.
Many people attended and all enjoyed the mix. It was an awesome block party for our local community. I hope Ringling continues to encourage all age groups to interact; it was a wonderful way to connect. What better way to bridge the gap than with fun, music and dance. Live music included Tosspot, Igor & Jane Jane Pollack.
The exhibition included Deco Japan: shaping Art & Culture 1920-1945 and Joseph’s Coat with many contemporary artists displayed on the lawn and outdoor films of Vintage Anime were projected onto the Ringling walls.
Ringling Underground is free for college students with a student ID and $10 for adults. monthly 8pm to 11pm.
Every Thursday, you may join in on Art After 5, from 5pm to 8pm. The Museum is open after hours for just $10. Bring your children along and visit the Miniature Circus and Wisconsin Railroad Car. Children 6 – 17 $5 and under 5 are free
Enjoy the perfect weather after 5pm, with cocktails, great conversation and beautiful views on the terrace. The breeze off the bay is wonderful in the evening. Take in all the breathtaking art the museum has to offer.
Thanks to Ringling for a great community event!
